 POLARGUARD® Δ synthetic insulation retains the high-performance characteristics of continuous filament, including unsurpassed warmth even when wet and after extended use, dimensional stability, and superior loft retention. Unlike cut staple fibers (short, chopped-up fibers), continuous filament will not mat, clump, or pull apart after extended use. POLARGUARD® Δ insulation has a super void (large hollow) cross section which makes it lighter and warmer. It offers superior performance in sleeping bags and cold weather outerwear in the harshest environments.
PERFORMANCE
Polarguard® Δ insulation has a larger void (hollow fiber) allowing it to trap more air. The result is a warmer, lighter insulation that offers excellent compression.
In independent testing of sleeping bags and batting, bags filled with POLARGUARD® Δ continuous filament provided more insulation per unit weight than other premium staple insulation, before and after simulated use. Even when wet, POLARGUARD® Δ retains much of its insulating ability.
